About Our Tutors


 LTR Tutoring distributed over 4,000 books to the children of the greater Concord area during the 2007 Halloween Howl Event.  LTR Tutoring staff including Cheri McManus, Kathy McGhee, Dianne Melim, Deborah Snow Major and teenage volunteers are pictured above. 

Kathy McGhee,M.Ed.

Kathy is a Learning Disabilites teacher at Canterbury Elementary School.  She recently received a post graduate degree as an Educational Specialist in Language and Literacy from Simmons College.  Kathy completed her M.Ed. in 1993 at UNH in Early Childhood Special Needs and B.A. in Elementary Education and Special Education from Rivier College in 1978.  Kathy has expertise and experience in early childhood education, learning disabilities, reading disabilities, evaluation and diagnosis of reading disabilities and is currently certified in the following areas: Elementary Education, General Special Education, Learning Disabilites, Early Childhood Education and the WIlson Reading Program Level I.  She has also been trained in the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program (LiPS), Orton Gillingham Program, LANGUAGE!, Project Read Framing Your Thoughts Written Language Program, Project Read Report Form and Story Form, and the Lindamood On Cloud Nine Multisensory Math Program.

Kathy is currently an Adjunct Professor at Southern NH University teaching classes in Reading, Differentiated Instruction and Early CHildhood Education.  She is Vice President of the NH Branch of the International Dyslexia Association and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Design.
